Pamela Anderson, the former Playboy centerfold and Baywatch actress, has written an open letter to President-elect Barack Obama asking him to legalize marijuana.
In a 600-word letter written to Obama on Tuesday on her website covering subjects from the war in Iraq, healthcare and vegetarianism, Anderson says she believes marijuana should be legalized and taxed.
Anderson writes that legalizing marijuana would make U.S. borders less corrupt and would “save children in the long run.”
The actress also writes that hemp farming should be legalized to help create jobs and have a positive impact on the environment.
Anderson, a supporter of Obama, features an “Obama ‘08″ logo on her website and in September posted an e-mail from the Obama campaign encouraging people to tell their neighbors to vote for Obama.
The former Canadian became an American citizen earlier this year and has been increasingly becoming involved in political issues, mostly revolving around her connection with People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.
Although the growing and use of marijuana is a federal crime in the U.S., 13 states have now legalized the use of marijuana for medical purposes according to the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws.

I’m sure thats top of his list. “orders from Pam”….
