Boston Marijuana Rally Marred by Arrests

Police at an annual Boston Freedom Rally arrested six people earlier this week for openly smoking marijuana.
The demonstration was being held to campaign for a motion called Question 2, which would replace criminal penalties for possession of up to one ounce of marijuana with a fine of no more than $100.

California County to Appeal over Marijuana Ruling

San Bernardino County in California is to appeal a ruling by the Supreme Court over the legality of marijuana for medical purposes.
The county lost a lawsuit on July 25th, when a state law allowing patients to access marijuana for medical reasons with the recommendation of a physician was upheld.
